Red chicken wing recipe
This chicken wing recipe was originally
from my father. when I was young, I used to
love it so much that I could have it
three times a day!
( I still do but just not that often now )
He used to use many parts of the chicken to cook
but the part that I liked the most was the wings.
However you can substitute the wings with any parts
of chicken you like.
Chicken wings in red sauce
Ingredients
- 500g of chicken wings
- 4 table spoons of light soy sauce
- 1 table spoon of dark soy sauce
-
½ cup of tomato sauce
- 1 table spoon of vegetable oil
Directions
Clean the wings well with water,
cut to separate the little drums and flat wing tips.
Rub all the ingredients with the chicken (Except oil)
Heat up the oil in the pot then stir in the chicken
and keep stirring for around 3 minutes.
Turn down the heat to the lowest level.
Cover the lid and leave it for about 30 minutes
or until the wings are tendered.
Keep stirring from time to time.
Open the lid and continue cooking until
the sauce is reduced by half.
Serve as an appetizer or as a main dish with
hot steam rice or toasted bread.
